What this is

A children's book is a KMb output. A serious one.

Knowledge Mobilization funding supports the translation of research into accessible resources for community audiences. An illustrated children's book — built on your methodology, reviewed for clinical accuracy, and distributed to schools and clinics — satisfies that mandate precisely.

It's not a standalone volume

Every Garden Wolf engagement includes an Educator and Clinician Companion Guide — transforming the book into a multimodal educational intervention. This satisfies the Tri-Council requirement that KMb outputs extend beyond a standalone publication.

It reaches community audiences directly

Families, pediatric clinics, school libraries, and community mental health settings are the end users. Not an academic readership. The dissemination reaches the populations your research is about.

Open-access by default

Every project includes digital file assets formatted for institutional repository deposit. Creative Commons licensing is available as a standard component — directly supporting the Tri-Council open-access mandate.

"

The book is not a commercial product. It is a knowledge dissemination tool — and we treat it that way.

For grant reviewers

What makes Garden Wolf the right vendor for a research engagement.

The following distinguishes Garden Wolf from commercial publishers and self-publishing platforms in the context of grant-funded KMb work.

01

Zero-royalty model

Garden Wolf never takes royalties or copyright. The research output belongs entirely to the author-investigator. This satisfies open-access and non-commercialization requirements.

02

Open-access ready

Every engagement includes digital file assets formatted for institutional repository deposit. Creative Commons licensing available as a standard component of any research-funded engagement.

03

Intervention tool, not just a book

The Educator and Clinician Companion Guide transforms the output into a multimodal educational intervention — satisfying Tri-Council requirements that go beyond a standalone volume.

04

Milestone-based payments

Payments are tied to reviewer-approved deliverables, not arbitrary dates. This aligns naturally with phased grant disbursement schedules and simplifies reporting.

05

Montreal-based, bilingual-ready

Garden Wolf is based in Pointe-Claire, Quebec with experience working with Quebec-based institutions. Bilingual English/French editions available on request.

06

Research-sector experience

Current clients include forensic psychiatrists, child and adolescent psychologists, and other clinician-researchers. We understand clinical subject matter, institutional standards, and the sensitivity your work requires.
